How much cash should I take to Jamaica?

I will be in Jamaica for a week and am curious to know if I should rely mainly on cash or credit. How much cash should I take?

cash not credit, I lived there for 15 years, and you will want to buy stuff from all of the variouse venders, and none of them will be able to take credit, how much depends on how much you want to spend, you could get away with hardly any but you will probably want stuff to remember your trip by, so I would say bring a few hundred (in US) just don't keep it all on you, alot of unsuspecting tourists have been pick-pocketed, not trying to scare you or anything just warning you.

Reply:Well knowing Jamaica, if you are a really good bargainer then I would go off on about 400 to 500 dollars. As for some warnings about Jamaica they love to try and sell, sell, sell, sell. they will offer you drugs too. But they are the most nicest people you will probably ever meet. Them and Bahamians. Have fun, and try a fresh coconut and go to the falls.

Reply:Well you will be attracted to alot of things things you can't reject, base on your style. well if you have to enjoy yourself you will have to pay for it and i am telling you, you will be attracted to alot of things so i will suggest to you bring enjoyment money that mean enough money.
