What is the difference between a ring game and cash game?
A ring game is a cash game. It applies to usually up to 9 to 10 people playing poker at a table for cash or using chips. It differs from a multitable event or a "Sit 'n Go" because you can "rebuy" or bring more money into the game if you bust out. It usually has a standard amount to buy into the game (often max. and min. amounts depending on the stakes and where you play).
Reply:The same
Reply:A Cash game can either be a ring-game or played shorthanded

Ring game refers to full table; 9-10 players

Shorthanded refers to an incomplete table; usually 6 players or less.

3 players is very short-handed

And

2 players is called Heads Up

Hope that clears up the confusion.
