I'm a senior in college, and although the ONE that I splurge on is my hair (I generally pay $200 per visit), I cannot afford to give him a big cash bonus like most people are advised to do.
I make beautiful handmade candles though.
Will this come off as tacky?
Is it tacky to give my hairdresser a box of handmade candles instead of cash as a christmas present?
My cousin is a hairdresser and I help him out during the holidays and he gets alot of different things ...he appreciates them all. So I think the candle would be a Great gift. It wouldn't be tacky at all. It is something you took your time and made. So give it to them and I am sure they will love it. ( I would) Do you sell them ? I love candles ....
Hope this was helpful ~~
Merry Christmas !
Reply:nooo, if you pay that much per visit, they will have enough money. homemade candles will be fine.
Reply:No, I think it makes it even more personal and thoughtful. Very good idea. Go for it.
Reply:i'm a hairdresser........a handmade candle would be great...and very thoughtful
Reply:Wow! I wish I was your hairdresser! Tacky? Not even close. What a sweet and thoughtful gift from your heart.
Reply:No not tacky at all. I think it would be more tacky to give cash. I would give cash as a tip but not as a Christmas gift. I would like the candles better.
Reply:no thats pretty cute and thoughtful, dont forget to mention you made it so he knows you put effort and thought into it. :]
